Checklist gets a big tick!
Having an inventory of your valuable household items is a huge advantage when organising your insurance, to ensure you are getting the right level of cover. It also helps in the event of a claim, making it easy for you to provide the insurer with the relevant information for a smooth claim resolution. So what are you waiting for? Download the Checklist now and get cracking!
TIPS:
It could be a big job so do it in stages: Try doing 1 room/area per day or every weekend
Start with the room that has the most valuable contents
Get the kids to help! Give them each a room to add to the checklist
What are your contents worth? Here's a link that can help you estimate the value of your assets www.understandinsurance.com.au/calculators
Take pictures of your receipts and paste into the checklist
Don't forget to list Special Items that may be insured separately, such as jewellery, artwork and other valuables
Keep it updated every time you buy an item of value
Once you are done, check that your current insurance provides adequate cover. If not, call your insurer for a review
Print it off every time you update it, and keep the hard copy in a safe place.
